Milton Petersborough has bet a girl that he can write and sell a science fiction story (she’ll go out with him if he wins), and inasmuch as he’s planning to write a science fiction mystery, he needs to have a motive for the murder the story is about—a motive which the Black Widowers are able to supply. Eh. This story does absolutely nothing for me. The set-up—the murderer and victim are rivals trying to take spectacular photographs of an eclipse— is really bizarre and I'm not sure I'd have the slightest interest in reading Petersborough’s story if he ever wrote it. Pass on this one.
